I have been off from work and Stefan continues to be able to go to work. 75% of the staff are working from home. He still brings the work computer home with him in case of an emergency and he should be able to work from home.
I had two old friends from the neighborhood over yesterday for a social distancing luncheon. Cathy made home made Muffallata and we drank Barq's. The architecture of this is that I move the sofas apart in the living-room. Each of us is at least 6 feet apart. I have a small table next to each place where a person sits. This is so the drink and plates and napkins have a place to rest upon.
It was very nice.
I ride my bike a lot. Stefan and I enjoy the evenings and dinner together. There are no places to go out to eat. Food can be picked up. It cannot be eaten in a restaurant. Places are struggling. So very limited. More are closing. More go out of business. More are bankrupting.
Here are some stats as of 10:30 A.M. C.S.T. 04/15/2020
Cruise lines Holland America, Princess Cruises and Seabourn suspend sailings through June 30
All the cruise boats on the planet are docked. There have not been any cruises since January 30th, 2020. Some ships with patients who contracted Covid-19, Corona virus, Chinese virus etc., are sitting in the open ocean waiting for help or they are docked and unable to get people off the ship.
Now for some numbers:
Coronavirus latest: Number of cases worldwide hits 2 million.
Cases does not mean deaths. The number of infections worldwide hits the 2 million mark, with more than 125,000 reported deaths.
Japan has urged its citizens to stay at home, as media reports warned that as many as 400,000 citizens could die of the coronavirus without urgent action.
The United States may need social distancing measures as a result of the coronavirus outbreak until 2022 .
In Spain, the number of deaths reported in 24 hours on Wednesday was 523, down on the previous day’s figure of 567. In total, 18,579 people have died in the country, the health ministry said. However, the number of infections rose by 5,092 to 177,633 — an increase of 2.95% compared with 1.7% the previous day.

industries returning to work after criticism.
German zoo draws up coronavirus slaughter list
Restrictions
brought in to slow the coronavirus outbreak have forced zoos shut
across Germany. One zoo is saying it may have to kill animals to save on
costs.
All the zoos on the planet are closed. For months now and for the foreseeable future. All public parks are limiting people. All sporting events and venues have been cancelled are are cancelled for the foreseeable future. All concerts are cancelled. All movie and television production is suspended. All local government and the offices are closed or partially operational. Like one person can work in a town hall of a city because of social distancing. masks are required for all public outings. Not that everybody is doing it. I do when I go do the grocery shopping.
All schools globally have been cancelled. From January and for the remainder of this school year. They will all be passed to the next grade whenever schools do open again.
Coronavirus hits Maldives' lucrative tourism industry
The
COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc on the global economy, and the
Maldives is no exception. But the tourism-dependent island nation may
find the path to recovery a lot harder.
All over the world the tourism industry is being ravaged. Disney has closed all parks. All public venues on the planet are canceled and closed. There is a stay at home thing going on. Our area in St. Tammany Parish in Louisiana is not that strict. Yet. I do go to the Abita Springs Estate and check on it and walk the grounds. It is for sale. As of now there are no real estate showings. Everything is under QUARANTINE!
